TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

These Terms & Conditions govern the services provided by Ezytax Blue ("we," "us," or "our") to clients engaging our tax preparation and lodgement services. By proceeding with our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Client Responsibilities & Confirmation

You confirm that all information provided to Ezytax Blue is true, accurate, and complete, and that you are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information provided. Your tax return will be prepared based on the information you supply. Ezytax Blue is not responsible for any errors or omissions in your tax return resulting from the information you have provided. You release Ezytax Blue from any liability relating to the preparation and lodgement of your income tax return(s).

 

2. Estimate

Any tax estimate provided by Ezytax Blue is based on the information supplied by you and is subject to adjustments made by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). The final assessment may be impacted by: HECS-HELP debt adjustments, Spouse’s Family Tax Benefit (FTB) overpayment, Exceeding concessional or non-concessional superannuation contribution caps (for 2022 or 2023, if applicable). A Notice of Assessment will be issued by the ATO once your return has been processed.

 

3. Processing Times

All tax returns undergo a review process before lodgement. Processing times are determined by the ATO. 

  • Upfront Payment: Up to 14 working days.

  • Fee From Refund (FFR): Up to 21 working days.

To avoid unnecessary delays, please refrain from contacting our office regarding your return’s status until the above processing times have elapsed.

 

4. Review Process

Your tax return will be reviewed by a Senior Accountant prior to lodgement.  If any errors or omissions are identified, you will be required to re-sign the corrected return before submission to the ATO. Delays in re-signing the return may result in delays in lodgement.

5. Billing & Additional Charges

Ezytax Blue operates on a time-based billing model. You will be billed for the time spent on your return, whether or not you proceed with lodgement. If your transactions exceed a 15-minute calculation time, a bookkeeping fee may be charged. Ezytax Blue will notify you of any additional charges before proceeding with your return. No refunds will be issued, regardless of the outcome of your tax return and whether your proceed with lodgement or not. If a refund is granted at our discretion, a $20 processing fee will be deducted to cover the costs incurred in receiving and processing the payment.

6. Bank Account Details

You confirm that the bank details provided are correct for your nominated financial institution. Ezytax Blue is not responsible for any incorrect bank details provided or entered. You release Ezytax Blue from any liability related to the accuracy of your nominated bank details. While Ezytax Blue will take due care in entering my bank details, you acknowledge that you are fully responsible for ensuring your bank details are correct and legible. If incorrect bank details result in my refund being sent to the wrong account, lost, or unable to be recalled, you accept full liability for any losses incurred. Ezytax Blue is not responsible for any incorrect bank details provided or entered.  You release Ezytax Blue from any liability related to your nominated bank details.

7. Limitation of Liability

While we take all reasonable steps to prepare your tax return accurately, Ezytax Blue is not responsible for any penalties, interest, or additional tax liabilities imposed by the ATO due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by you. Ezytax Blue is not liable for delays caused by the ATO or any external factors beyond our control. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ezytax Blue (Streamline CA Pty Ltd), its directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, or damages arising from errors in bank transfers, including but not limited to: Incorrect or illegible bank details provided by me; Funds deposited into an incorrect account that cannot be recovered; Bank processing delays or errors beyond the control of Ezytax Blue.

8. Consent & Communication

You consent to being added to Ezytax Blue’s Tax Agent Portal. You agree for your income tax return for the specified year(s) to be lodged via the Practitioner Lodgment Service (PLS). You further consent to Ezytax Blue contacting you regarding your taxation affairs.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
